Honda S90 Project: Part 6 - She's Running!

I finally got the tube I ordered from JC Whitney and fixed the front flat on the S90.  It turned out to be a much easier job when I was actually using a tube designed to fit the bike (ie not a rigged tube from the bicycle shop).  Who would have thought?

After a few bump start runs the bike started.  I messed around with the idle and air screws and seemed to get it running/idling a little better.  It was the moment of truth.  I took the bike around the block and middle and top end of the bike was pretty screwed up.  I noticed that when I applied the choke the middle and top was better but not fixed.  I pulled the spark plug and it looked a little lean.  With a little direction from the Yahoo S90 group I found a owner's manual and the tuning procedure.  I'm planning on tuning the bike once it gets warms one day this week.

In case you didn't notice from the last post I decided to chop the front fender down for a more cafe look and also painted the front and rear fenders black.  I got them mounted up and I like the look!  The bike is looking great and hopefully in the next week or so I'll have it running as great as it looks!  I'll post an updated as soon as I'm finished tuning!  Until then, here are some more photos:

Stay tuned for more updates on the 1967 Honda S90 project.
